Hi Mom! Film Festival

"Andy the Giraffe Calls Technical Support" will be screening tonight at the Hi Mom! Film Festival in Carrboro, NC. If you can't make it to the screening, you can watch it here. Thanks to Sharon Riley and the Hi Mom! Team for screening the film and interviewing me for the program.

In other news, I'm hard at work on my next animation, "Andy the Giraffe Loves Philadelphia". The project is rapidly approaching ten minutes in length and includes some of the most intricate drawing and animation I've attempted. The goal is to have it finished by the end of 2008, although there is still much work to be done. Below is a still from the new movie.

News! I have some work included in Photography 27, a juried photo exhibit being held at the Perkins Center for the Arts in Moorestown, NJ. The opening reception is on Saturday, January 26th from 1-4 pm and the exhibit runs until February 24th. If you want to go, check out the Perkins Center website for more details and directions.

A Diary Film on Rooftop TV

A Diary Film will be broadcast in an episode of Rooftop TV on the Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN) on Sunday, April 8th at 9:00 pm.

If you live in Manhattan, watch it on Time Warner Cable 34 (with cable box) and 78 (without cable box) or RCN cable on channel 107 (with a regular box) and 110 (with digital RCN).

If you don't live in Manhattan, not to worry, it will be broadcast simultaneously online at MNN.org. Rooftop screened A Diary Film previously as part of its 2006 Summer Festival. Thanks Rooftop Films!

I know it's not even close to Halloween, but I finally rewrote this Andy cartoon and finished it the way I intended. More Andy animations are on their way. Look out for Andy the Giraffe as "The Dandy Fop" and a longer work called "Andy the Giraffe Loves Philadelphia".

Andy the Giraffe Calls Technical Support will be screening at the Bearded Child Film Festival in Grand Rapids, MN on August 18th. The second Andy animation "Andy the Giraffe Teaches Bike Safety" will hopefully be done within the next couple weeks.

Also, A Diary Film will be screening in the Home Movies program of Rooftop Films summer series on Friday August 25th, Brooklyn, NY.

A Diary Film at the Free Range Film Festival

A Diary Film - a short I completed this past year - will be screening at the Free Range Film Festival in Wrenshall, MN on July 28th. They project films onto a giant screen inside a converted barn.

I'm glad to report that A Diary Film has finally started to screen at festivals. Last month it premiered at the Hi Mom! Film Festival in North Carolina and there should be a screening next month in New York through Rooftop Films. I'll have more information on that very soon.
